Rage City COVID-19 Response
Rage City and the WFTDA takes the health and safety of its members and the general roller derby community seriously.
As the spread of COVID-19 intensifies in Anchorage, safety and health of our membership is our highest priority. Due to these concerns, Rage City will be delaying the start of Season 13 (previously scheduled for September). The Board of Directors is scheduled to meet October to reassess the plan to return to play. Currently, the tentative start date for Season 13 is November; this includes a cancellation of our previously announced November 14, 2020 game.

Existing Members
When the season resumes, skaters and officials can expect to return to practices in a limited capacity—with a focus on social distancing footwork drills, and endurance. Return to play, in full contact capacity, will be determined by the WFTDA Return to Play ladder.
New Members
When Season 13 begins, we will be accepting new skaters, officials, and volunteers. For interested new members, please visit our How to Get Involved page and/or contact us!
WFTDA Response
The WFTDA will continue to update our concerns and recommendations in the weeks ahead, and urges our members to follow national and municipal guidelines in regards to managing the spread of the virus, which may include limiting the number or scope of gatherings and events. COVID-19 recommendations are impacting roller derby gameplay worldwide and the WFTDA will continue to monitor and adjust our best practices as we learn more.
Re-engaging is a personal and difficult choice for our membership and league. The guidelines in this plan are meant specifically and solely for participants of the sport, and we have paused our WFTDA competitive pathways in an effort to de-emphasize in-person fan engagement.
